We are thrilled to announce the start of our dog-walking services! If you're in the North/Central Austin area, Round Rock or Cedar Park and need a daily walk for your best friend, please contact us! Our area of coverage starts as far north at Hwy 79/IH-35 to as far south as Mopac/Lake Austin. Also as far west as 620/Lakeline Blvd and as far east as 183/Hwy 290.

 

I have been training our foster dogs to walk nicely on a leash for several years now. Having three dogs of our own, plus a new foster dog every month or so, I have become a pro at the "pack walk." Although I am not a certified trainer or behaviorist, I approach dog walking with confidence, so walks with me will teach your dog those much-desired leash manners and cut down on any pulling or other difficult behavior.  I subscribe to the theory that there is much power in the positive, and the dogs I have worked with over the years apprecate and learn quickly with this technique. Dog walking is especially important if your dog is a working or larger breed, and regular exercise will help them in a number of ways!

 

Does your dog bark like mad during a walk, or exhibit fear or shyness around strangers? Let us help! We are able to work on these difficult behaviors during walks. Please note, there is an additional fee for walk/train services. Please see fees below. If we are not able to help you with specific dog behavior issues, we know several great certified trainers in the area! We will be happy to provide walks for your dog once these issues have been resolved.

 

If you are interested in aquiring our services, please contact us by calling (512)293-1669 or by clicking here! We will set up a free "meet-and-greet" (in your home) with you and your dog(s). During this time, we will discuss your needs and the current level of activity your dog can tolerate. We are able to start walking right away if you choose!

 

For dogs who have some leash walking experience and basic obedience, the following fees apply:

• $15 for a 15 minute walk in your neighborhood, or 15 minute potty break (up to two dogs)

• $20 for a 20 minute walk in your neighborhood, a one mile walk (up to two dogs)

• $25 for a 30 minute walk in your neighborhood, include 10 minutes of training on basic manners during each visit (sit, down, come when called, etc.)

For dogs who have no prior leash walking experience, or who have some moderate behavioral issues that need work, the follow fees apply:

•  Price varies upon severity of case - generally, we charge $65 for the first two (2) walk and train sessions. The fee includes a free, in-home discussion on your specific needs and instruction on how to continue training on your own walks. After the first two walks, we will meet again (no additional charge) to discuss progress and further services desired.

•  Additional walk and train sessions are $35 per 30 minute session (after the first two walk/train sessions are complete).

• This service works best if the dog is walked regularily. Walk and train fee is per dog, and we cannot walk more than one dog at a time during training sessions.

• Training sessions can be spread out over several weeks, if preferred. Payment is due at the time of service.

We offer a 15% discount to owners who have adopted their dog within the last 6 months of the consultation.
